Drug Assistance Program

I recently discovered this awesome patient assistance program that certain drug companies offer.

I’ve been on this medication for a few years now the name brand is absolutely amazing unfortunately a generic appeared and I was booted to the alternative. I tried appealing to Great West Life to no avail. Now I have this card from the manufacturer of the name brand drug. “This card covers the cost difference between brand name and the available generic version”. I received one card from my physician the other from the pharmacy. For people like me this is huge. Some generics are not equal so the opportunity to have the name brand covered is amazing!

I think a lot of people are like me and are not aware that these awesome cards exists.

Check the link below to see if this program will work for you.

My Experience at the Gathering Place

A week ago at Gathering Place (North Bay’s Community Soup Kitchen), Nipissing Administration and Support Staff were suited up in an apron and cap and put to work in all manner of food service. We cut vegetables, tore spinach, cut chickens, dished out food, poured drinks, served patrons, wiped up, and helped with the dishes. Things got very intense over the lunch hour as anyone who wanted a simple, healthy meal streamed in and out (we served 122 people). My wonderful coworkers from Nipissing University were always ready with an encouraging smile. The Gathering Place is an oasis of kindness in the fast world. At the end of the day, I felt more connected with the North Bay community. I highly recommend volunteering at Gathering Place to anyone who is interested.
